Description of CE Program/Activity
Independence and community integration are the primary objectives for teachers, schools and agencies serving the blind. Yet the skills most essential to achieve these life goals seem intangible and ill-defined. Join us as we give structure to the concept of soft skills and present its implications for the future of education.Join Seminare@Hadley as Robert Schulenburg, program manager for Junior Blind, and Caleb van den Cline, manager of Employment Services for Lions Center for the Blind, present on soft skills and their importance in education and in the workplace.Colleen Wunderlich, Hadley's director of the Forsythe Center for Employment and Entrepreneurship, will moderate this 60-minute seminar. A question and answer session will be included as part of the seminar.
