Goodwill Vision Enterprises (formally known as ABVI) has a very long and successful history of doing a lot of good in the Rochester community and Finger Lakes Region. Join us in supporting individuals through person-centered services across the Rochester community, Finger Lakes Region and beyond.

As a Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist, you will assist individuals in gaining independence in their home, workplace and communities through diagnostic assessments to determine the individual’s current ability to carry out their daily activities and the development of realistic goals that will serve as the focus of lessons. Our CVRTs work with individuals at all ages in a variety of programs.

Training may take place in the participant’s home, workplace, or within their community, and may be conducted for individuals or groups.  Skills in communication, home management, personal management, cooking, financial management, keyboarding, smart phone accessibility and Braille are among the topics that will be covered under VRT services. Each lesson will be designed with participant goals in mind, and will incorporate the use of adaptive techniques and equipment. Monitoring and documenting a participant’s progress toward goals; reporting to sponsoring agencies; and participating as a part of the Vision Services team to provide the best participant experiences possible are key components of the role.

Select your work schedule - full-time, part-time and contract opportunities available!  Annual full time time salary: $60,000 - $72,000.
