Organization:                        Savannah Center for Blind and Low Vision (SCBLV)

Qualifications:          Bachelor or Master's Degrees in both Vision Rehabilitation Therapy and Orientation & Mobility.  ACVREP Certification as a CVRT and COMS must be obtained within one year of hire date.

Duties:           Though based in Savannah, the applicant will provide center and community-based services to clients in nearby communities of Southeast South Carolina and Southeast Georgia. This allows for a diverse caseload that can meet the demands of a growing population. SCBLV maintains a team-based approach, relying on the collaboration and creativity of our Blind Rehabilitation Staff. As a team member, the applicant will interact with other members of the team to form individualized plans and lessons for each client.

Responsibilities include: assessing client’s skill levels, building appropriate goals with the client, formulating individualized rehabilitation plans to suit their needs, lesson planning, providing direct services in the areas of Activities of Daily Living, Communication, Assistive Technology, Visual Skills, and Orientation & Mobility, and maintaining progress reports for each individual.

Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits package, or possible contractual agreement.
