The Division of Rehabilitation Services is responsible for the administration of the Department’s programs and services for individuals with disabilities. This includes the Services for Blind and Visually Impaired Independent Living Program which seeks to provide services to eligible individuals of all ages who are blind or who have a severe visual impairment to enable them to live as independently as possible in their homes and communities consistent with their strengths and priorities
Under the general supervision of the Program Director, the Program Coordinator will be required to develop and assist with the implementation of programs and projects that support the program’s vision and short- and long-term goals. This includes evaluating, writing and developing program procedures in accordance with the needs of the program, overseeing quality control of procedures and maintaining data integrity in preparing and submitting federal reports in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.
Position Responsibilities:
§ Reviews current program practices and policies to suggest changes to improve the quality and timeliness of service delivery within agency budgets and in compliance with state and federal policies.
§ Remains current on service delivery trends, policy information, and identifies additional funding sources to better serve our clients.
§ Gathers, analyzes and prepares program reports tracking the programs progress in meeting goals.
§ Implements long-range objectives and strategies to achieve program goals and objectives.
§ Plans and coordinates training programs for staff in policy and procedure and provides consultation with subordinates and supervisors to comply with state and federal policies.
§ Prepares and submits programs federal reports accurately and within stated deadlines.
§ Serves as a liaison with maintaining and developing the program case management system.
§ Organizes, plans, and prioritizes work in a timely manner to accomplish assigned tasks.
§ Prepares materials for and makes presentation to, internal and external agencies and businesses.
§ Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
§ Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of full time work experience in the following; social services, human services, education, auditing, accounting, and/or social services grant coordination. At least two years of this experience must have been human services program project (a project vital to the successful implementation of agency program/policies) evaluation or case review work.

§ Target Salary: $40,392. Salary will be commensurate with knowledge, skills and experience directly related to this job.
