The Orientation & Mobility (O&M) function is mostly community-based. O&M duties include evaluating training needs and conducting training in all relevant aspects of O&M needed to help newly employed and other clients achieve their travel needs. O&M may involve periodically working with local transportation agencies including the bus system and playing an advocacy role when and where appropriate. Record keeping using Client Tracking and report writing are required per agency procedures. Participation in special agency social functions may be required on occasion during evening or weekend hours. Other duties as assigned.
